Voodoo Queens were a British indie rock band from London formed in the early 1990s, fronted by Anjali Bhatia. Their energetic, feminist-influenced indie rock earned them attention during the riot grrrl era. Voodoo Queens represented British indie's more political and gender-conscious wing. Though their career was brief, they contributed to 1990s alternative culture. They demonstrated indie rock's capacity for political engagement.
