Violinski were a British rock band formed by Electric Light Orchestra violinist Mik Kaminski. Their music combined rock with classical influences, continuing the progressive approach of ELO. Violinski represented the classical-rock crossover that ELO had pioneered. Though their commercial success was limited, they demonstrated the continued appeal of string-enhanced rock. Violinski contributed to progressive pop's development.
