Artist: Tim Buckley
Genre: Folk Rock/Experimental
Tim Buckley was an American singer-songwriter whose extraordinary voice and restless artistic experimentation made him one of the most remarkable musicians of the late 1960s and early 1970s. Albums from the folk-influenced 'Goodbye and Hello' through jazz-influenced 'Happy Sad' to avant-garde 'Starsailor' demonstrated remarkable evolution. His five-octave vocal range allowed unprecedented expression. Buckley's death from a heroin overdose in 1975 at age 28 ended a career of immense potential. His son Jeff Buckley achieved posthumous fame. Tim Buckley represented folk-rock's most vocally gifted and experimentally ambitious voice.
