Artist: Rare Bird
Genre: Progressive Rock
Rare Bird were a British progressive rock band formed in 1969 whose hit 'Sympathy' achieved international success in 1970. The band's unusual instrumentation, featuring two keyboards rather than guitar, created a distinctive sound. Though they never replicated 'Sympathy's' success, subsequent albums explored progressive territory. Rare Bird represented the experimental spirit of early 1970s British rock, willing to challenge conventional band formats. Their keyboard-heavy approach anticipated later progressive developments.
