Nadja is a Canadian duo consisting of Aidan Baker and Leah Buckareff who create dense, atmospheric music combining drone, ambient, and heavy metal influences. Their sound layers distorted guitars, bass, and electronics into immersive walls of sound. Nadja's prolific output has explored various approaches to heavy ambient music. Their work appealed to listeners at the intersection of metal, drone, and experimental music communities. Nadja represented the contemporary movement blending extreme music's heaviness with ambient music's textural focus, creating challenging but rewarding listening experiences.
