Artist: Lies Damned Lies
Genre: Indie Rock
Lies Damned Lies were a British indie rock band who emerged in the late 1980s from the Manchester music scene. Their sound reflected the guitar-based alternative rock that characterized the period, combining melodic sensibility with indie energy. The band released material on independent labels and built a following through live performances and music press coverage. Though they didn't achieve the commercial success of some Manchester contemporaries, they contributed to the rich musical ecosystem that made the city a center of British indie culture. Lies Damned Lies represented the depth of talent in Manchester's music scene beyond its most famous acts.
