Joyce Sims is an American R&B and dance music singer and songwriter who achieved success in the late 1980s. Her biggest hit, 'Come into My Life,' reached the UK Top 10 in 1987 and became a dance music classic with its combination of soulful vocals and electronic production. The follow-up 'All and All' continued her success. Sims wrote and produced much of her own material, demonstrating creative control unusual for the era. Her music represented the intersection of R&B and electronic dance music that characterized late 1980s pop.
