Artist: Hudson Ford
Genre: Pop Rock
Hudson-Ford were a British pop duo consisting of Richard Hudson and John Ford, both former members of the folk-rock band The Strawbs. After leaving The Strawbs in the early 1970s, the duo pursued a more mainstream pop direction, achieving success with singles like 'Pick Up the Pieces' and 'Burn Baby Burn.' Their sophisticated pop-rock sound featured strong harmonies and melodic hooks. Hudson-Ford also worked extensively as songwriters and producers for other artists, demonstrating their all-around musical abilities. The duo represented the professional craftsmanship of 1970s British pop-rock, bridging their folk-rock origins with contemporary commercial sounds. Their work, both as performers and behind the scenes, contributed to the landscape of 1970s British popular music.
