Frankie Paul was a Jamaican reggae and dancehall artist born Paul Blake in 1965, who despite being blind from birth became one of reggae's most distinctive vocalists. His smooth, soulful voice and versatility made him popular throughout 1980s-90s. Paul achieved success with hits including 'Worries in the Dance' and 'Sara.' He recorded prolifically appearing on countless riddims from Jamaica's top producers. His work bridged reggae's roots era and modern dancehall. Paul died in 2017 leaving extensive catalog showcasing remarkable talent and contribution to Jamaican music.
