Artist: Cribs
Genre: Indie Rock
The Cribs are an English indie rock band formed in Wakefield in 2001, consisting of twins Gary and Ryan Jarman and their younger brother Ross Jarman. The band emerged as part of the indie rock revival of the mid-2000s, known for their energetic, punk-influenced indie rock. The Cribs achieved critical and commercial success with albums like 'The New Fellas' and 'Men's Needs, Women's Needs, Whatever.' For a period, Johnny Marr of The Smiths was a member, adding guitar. The Cribs' music is characterized by catchy melodies, raw energy, and the Jarman brothers' distinctive vocals. They've been championed by BBC Radio 1 and have built a devoted following in the UK. The band represents British indie rock's more energetic, punk-influenced side, maintaining credibility while achieving chart success. They continue recording and touring, respected as one of the UK's premier indie rock bands.
