Arcadia were a British new wave side project formed in 1985 by three members of Duran Duran: Simon Le Bon, Nick Rhodes, and Roger Taylor. The project was conceived while Duran Duran were on hiatus, allowing members to explore different musical directions. Arcadia's sound was more atmospheric and experimental than Duran Duran, incorporating art rock, funk, and ambient elements. Their album 'So Red the Rose' featured collaborations with Sting, Herbie Hancock, and David Gilmour. The lead single 'Election Day' became a hit.
