Anti-Nowhere League are an English punk rock band formed in Royal Tunbridge Wells in 1979, known for their deliberately offensive lyrics, aggressive sound, and controversial image. Fronted by vocalist Animal, the band represented punk's most confrontational and shocking tendencies, creating music designed to provoke and outrage. Their debut EP 'Streets of London' and album 'We Are...The League' featured songs with deliberately offensive titles and lyrics. Musically, they played fast, aggressive punk that influenced hardcore punk and crossover thrash.
