Angel Witch are an English heavy metal band formed in London in 1977, becoming one of the influential bands of the New Wave of British Heavy Metal (NWOBHM). The band, led by guitarist Kevin Heybourne, created a sound combining classic heavy metal with occult imagery and darker themes. Their self-titled 1980 debut album is considered a NWOBHM classic, featuring the title track 'Angel Witch.' Despite their influence and critical respect, Angel Witch never achieved major commercial success but influenced many later metal bands.
