SLAYER Live In Paris 91 Review: SLAYER.

The mere mention of their name is enough to make your grandmother clutch her pearls and cross herself.

These thrash metal pioneers have been melting faces and causing widespread neck injuries since the 1980s, and their Live In Paris 91 album is a perfect snapshot of their uncompromising brutality.

From the moment the needle drops on this record, you can practically smell the sweat and leather as SLAYER tear through classic cuts like "Angel of Death" and "Raining Blood" with all the subtlety of a sledgehammer to the face.

The crowd in Paris is absolutely losing their minds, with fellow headbangers moshing like their lives depend on it.

The guitar work from Kerry King and Jeff Hanneman is nothing short of devastating, with solos that will make you question whether or not your ears are actually bleeding.

And let's not forget about Tom Araya's vocals - that man could scream the phone book and make it sound like a call to arms.

If you're a fan of heavy music and have a penchant for headbanging until your brain feels like it's been turned to mush, then SLAYER's Live In Paris 91 is an absolute must-have.

Just make sure to stretch your neck muscles beforehand - you're going to need them.
