1982 found Mink DeVille developing their original New York punk origins into a subtler, rootsier sound blending soul, R amp B, Cajun and other inshyfluences, but still looking and sounding as sharp as ever, with leader Willy DeVille in particularly fine form.
It was to be their only appearance at Montreux, although Willy DeVille has since returned as a solo artist.
