Zdeněk Liška was a Czech composer who created scores for many significant Czech films, particularly the work of animator Jan Švankmajer. His innovative electronic and orchestral scores enhanced some of Czech cinema's most distinctive works. Liška represented Eastern European film composition at its most creative. His influence extended through his distinctive approach to cinematic sound.
