Zap Pow were a Jamaican reggae band who achieved success in the 1970s with their horn-driven sound. Their blend of reggae with soul and funk influences created accessible, dance-oriented music. Zap Pow represented the more commercial end of 1970s Jamaican music. Their influence extended through the reggae-funk fusion they helped develop.
