The Yardbirds were a British rock band from London who became one of the most influential groups of the 1960s, notable for launching the careers of guitarists Eric Clapton, Jeff Beck, and Jimmy Page. Their hits, including 'For Your Love,' 'Heart Full of Soul,' 'Shapes of Things,' and 'Over Under Sideways Down,' pioneered psychedelic and experimental rock techniques. The Yardbirds' willingness to experiment with feedback, distortion, and Eastern influences expanded rock's sonic vocabulary. Their influence on subsequent rock, from Led Zeppelin to punk, was immense.
