Yard Act are a British post-punk band from Leeds formed in 2019 whose spoken-word-driven songs address contemporary British life with wit and social observation. Their debut album 'The Overload' achieved critical and commercial success, reaching the UK Top 3. James Smith's sardonic vocals and the band's tight rhythmic approach created a distinctive sound.
