XTC were a British rock band from Swindon whose sophisticated, literate pop earned them critical acclaim across their career. Andy Partridge and Colin Moulding's songwriting produced classics including 'Making Plans for Nigel,' 'Senses Working Overtime,' and 'Dear God.' The '3D EP' and other releases document their remarkable output. XTC's influence on alternative rock and power pop demonstrated that intelligent, crafted pop could achieve lasting respect. They represented British art-pop at its most accomplished.
