Warhorse were a British hard rock band formed in 1970 featuring former Deep Purple bassist Nick Simper. Their heavy, blues-influenced rock appealed to fans seeking straightforward hard rock. Warhorse represented the quality of early 1970s British hard rock beyond its most famous acts. Their influence extended through the heavy rock they helped develop.
