Artist: Wah!
Genre: New Wave/Post-Punk
Wah! (also known as The Mighty Wah! and Wah! Heat) was a British band from Liverpool formed in 1979, led by Pete Wylie. Their anthemic post-punk produced hits including 'The Story of the Blues.' Wylie's passionate vocals and the band's powerful sound created emotionally charged music. Wah! represented Liverpool's post-punk contribution beyond Echo and the Bunnymen and Teardrop Explodes. Their influence on anthemic British rock was notable.
