Artist: Vardis
Genre: Heavy Metal
Vardis were a British heavy metal band from Wakefield who became associated with the New Wave of British Heavy Metal. Their raw, energetic approach, particularly captured on the live album '100 M.P.H.,' earned them devoted followers. The band's emphasis on live performance and their working-class authenticity distinguished them within NWOBHM. Though they never achieved mainstream breakthrough, Vardis influenced subsequent rock bands. They represented NWOBHM's no-frills, high-energy wing.
