Artist: Van Der Graaf
Genre: Progressive Rock
Van der Graaf Generator were a British progressive rock band formed in 1967, led by vocalist Peter Hammill. Their dark, intense music distinguished them from more pastoral progressive contemporaries. Albums including 'Pawn Hearts,' 'H to He, Who Am the Only One,' and 'Godbluff' earned them devoted cult followings. Hammill's distinctive voice and the band's challenging compositions created some of progressive rock's most demanding music. Van der Graaf Generator represented prog's most emotionally intense and experimentally ambitious possibilities.
