UK Subs are a British punk rock band formed in London in 1976, led by vocalist Charlie Harper. One of the original British punk bands, they achieved chart success with songs including 'Stranglehold,' 'Tomorrow's Girls,' and 'Warhead.' The band has maintained remarkable continuity, with Harper leading various lineups for nearly five decades. Their commitment to touring and recording has produced an extensive catalog. UK Subs' influence on street punk and their demonstration of punk's longevity as a musical form was substantial. They represented punk rock's most enduring and dedicated practitioners.
