Artist: Uk Decay
Genre: Gothic Rock/Post-Punk
UK Decay were a British gothic rock and post-punk band from Luton formed in 1978 who became influential figures in the early goth scene. Their dark, atmospheric sound and DIY approach influenced subsequent gothic rock development. Though they disbanded in 1983 after limited commercial success, UK Decay's influence on gothic rock exceeded their brief existence. They are credited with coining the term 'gothic rock' to describe their music. UK Decay represented the foundations of British gothic rock.
