The Tourists were a British new wave band formed in 1977 featuring Annie Lennox and Dave Stewart before they formed Eurythmics. Their pop-oriented new wave produced hits including 'I Only Want to Be with You' (a Dusty Springfield cover) and 'So Good to Be Back Home Again.' The Tourists represented the transitional period before Lennox and Stewart found their definitive voice with Eurythmics. Their influence was primarily through providing the foundation for one of the 1980s' most successful partnerships.
