Artist: Theatre Of Hate
Genre: Post-Punk/Gothic
Theatre of Hate were a British post-punk band formed in 1980 by Kirk Brandon after the breakup of The Pack. Their dramatic, anthemic sound featured saxophone alongside guitar, creating a distinctive style. Their hit 'Do You Believe in the Westworld' showcased their powerful approach. Brandon later formed Spear of Destiny. Theatre of Hate represented the more theatrical end of post-punk, creating music suited for large venues and passionate audiences. Their influence on subsequent gothic and rock bands was notable.
