The Strypes were an Irish rock band from Cavan who achieved success while still teenagers with their energetic blues-rock sound reminiscent of Dr. Feelgood and early Rolling Stones. Their debut album earned critical acclaim for their authentic approach to rhythm and blues. The Strypes represented the continued appeal of blues-based rock to young musicians. Though they disbanded in 2018, they demonstrated that traditional rock could still inspire new generations.
