The Nolans were an Irish family group consisting of sisters from Dublin who achieved international success with their disco-influenced pop. Their hit 'I'm in the Mood for Dancing' became a worldwide smash, particularly successful in Japan. The Nolans represented the family pop group tradition at its most commercially successful during the early 1980s. Their harmonies and energetic performances made them television favorites. Their influence extended through the family-friendly pop market.
