Tavares are an American R&B and disco group consisting of five brothers from New Bedford, Massachusetts. Their sophisticated disco and soul produced hits including 'Heaven Must Be Missing an Angel,' 'Don't Take Away the Music,' 'Whodunit,' and 'More Than a Woman' (from the 'Saturday Night Fever' soundtrack). The brothers' tight harmonies and the era's finest production created dance floor classics. Tavares' influence on disco and their representation of family vocal groups in the genre was notable. They represented disco at its most musically accomplished.
