Sky were a British-Australian instrumental group formed in 1978 who achieved remarkable commercial success with their blend of classical music and rock. Featuring classical guitarist John Williams and rock guitarist Kevin Peek, their self-titled debut album topped the UK charts. Sky's success demonstrated that instrumental music combining classical and contemporary elements could achieve mainstream popularity.
