Sigur Rós are an Icelandic post-rock band from Reykjavík known for their ethereal soundscapes and Jónsi's distinctive falsetto vocals and bowed guitar technique. Their music, sung in Icelandic and their invented 'Hopelandic' language, transcended linguistic barriers through emotional power.
