Artist: Sandy Denny
Genre: Folk Rock
Sandy Denny was a British singer-songwriter whose exceptional voice and songwriting made her one of the most significant figures in British folk rock. Her work with Fairport Convention, including 'Who Knows Where the Time Goes,' helped define the genre. Her solo albums, particularly 'Sandy' and 'Like an Old Fashioned Waltz,' showcased her remarkable abilities. Denny was the only guest vocalist on a Led Zeppelin recording, singing on 'The Battle of Evermore.' Her tragic death at 31 in 1978 ended an extraordinary career. Sandy Denny represented British folk-rock at its most emotionally profound and musically accomplished.
