Albums like 'Wiped Out' and 'All for One' influenced the development of thrash metal. Their move to America in the mid-1980s anticipated the British metal invasion. Raven's influence on speed and thrash metal was acknowledged by bands including Metallica and Anthrax. They represented NWOBHM at its most energetic.
