Their sole album 'Mainstream' (released 1975) showcased their complex, jazz-influenced progressive rock. Though short-lived, Quiet Sun's members went on to significant careers in experimental and art rock. The band represented the progressive rock scene's more avant-garde wing, creating challenging music that influenced subsequent experimental rock.
