Artist: Quartz
Genre: Heavy Metal
Quartz were a British heavy metal band from Birmingham who emerged alongside the New Wave of British Heavy Metal in the late 1970s. Their connection to Black Sabbath (managed by the same team) and their powerful, riff-driven sound earned them a following among metal fans. Albums like 'Quartz' and 'Stand Up and Fight' demonstrated their abilities within the developing NWOBHM movement. Though they never achieved the commercial success of some contemporaries, Quartz represented the depth of British metal talent during a formative period for the genre. Their contribution to Birmingham's heavy metal legacy was notable.
