Their albums 'Steel the Light' and 'When the Mirror Cracks' showcased their melodic heavy metal approach. Q5 represented the quality of American metal beyond the more famous Los Angeles and East Coast scenes. Though they never achieved widespread commercial success, Q5 earned respect among metal fans for their songwriting and performances. Their influence contributed to Seattle's pre-grunge metal scene.
