Psychic TV were a British experimental music group formed in 1981 by Genesis P-Orridge and Peter Christopherson following the dissolution of Throbbing Gristle. Their music evolved from industrial experimentation to acid house, constantly challenging boundaries. Associated with the Temple ov Psychick Youth organization, they combined music with occult and countercultural activities. Albums spanned industrial noise, psychedelia, and dance music, demonstrating remarkable stylistic range. Psychic TV's influence on industrial, electronic, and experimental music was substantial. They represented music's potential as a vehicle for radical ideas and personal transformation.
