Poco are an American country rock band formed in Los Angeles in 1968 by former Buffalo Springfield members Richie Furay and Jim Messina. They became pioneers of the country rock movement alongside The Byrds and Flying Burrito Brothers. Their harmonies and blend of rock energy with country influences created a template for the genre. Though major commercial success proved elusive during their peak creative period, later lineup achieved hits with 'Crazy Love' and 'Heart of the Night.' Poco's influence on country rock and the development of the Eagles (who were influenced by and briefly included former Poco member Randy Meisner) was substantial.
