Phil Everly was an American musician who, with his brother Don, formed the Everly Brothers, one of the most influential acts in rock history. Their close harmony singing on hits like 'Bye Bye Love,' 'Wake Up Little Susie,' 'All I Have to Do Is Dream,' and 'Cathy's Clown' influenced countless artists from The Beatles to Simon & Garfunkel. Phil's tenor harmony blending with Don's lead created a template for rock harmony singing. His death in 2014 marked the end of one of rock's most important sibling partnerships. The Everly Brothers' influence on popular music remains immense.
