Pentangle were a British folk band formed in 1967, featuring Jacqui McShee (vocals), John Renbourn and Bert Jansch (guitars), Danny Thompson (bass), and Terry Cox (drums). Their unique blend of British folk with jazz and blues influences created something unprecedented. Albums like 'Basket of Light' achieved commercial success while maintaining artistic credibility. Jansch and Renbourn's intricate guitar work influenced countless subsequent players.
