Palms were an American supergroup formed in 2011, combining members of Isis with Deftones vocalist Chino Moreno. Their self-titled 2013 album blended atmospheric post-metal with Moreno's distinctive vocals, creating a distinctive fusion of their respective band sounds. Though short-lived, Palms demonstrated the creative possibilities when musicians from different scenes collaborate. The project represented post-metal's potential for incorporating alternative rock vocals and expanding the genre's audience.
