Orpheus were an American rock band from Boston who achieved success in the late 1960s with their single 'Can't Find the Time.' The band's melodic rock sound fit the late 1960s taste for sophisticated pop-rock. Orpheus represented the Boston music scene's contribution to late 1960s American rock. Though they didn't achieve lasting commercial success, their recordings preserved examples of well-crafted late 1960s rock. The band's name, drawing from Greek mythology, suggested artistic ambitions beyond typical rock fare.
