Om are an American band formed by Al Cisneros and Chris Hakius after the dissolution of Sleep. Their music combines doom metal's heaviness with Middle Eastern influences, mantric repetition, and spiritual themes. Albums like 'Conference of the Birds' and 'Advaitic Songs' earned critical acclaim among fans of heavy, meditative music.
