Ol' Dirty Bastard (Russell Tyrone Jones) was an American rapper and founding member of the Wu-Tang Clan whose unpredictable style and unique vocal delivery made him one of hip-hop's most distinctive personalities. His solo album 'Return to the 36 Chambers: The Dirty Version' showcased his eccentric approach. ODB's raw, unfiltered performances contrasted with more polished contemporaries. His troubled personal life, including numerous legal issues, added to his mythology. His death in 2004 from an accidental drug overdose was mourned throughout hip-hop.
