The Nolans were an Irish girl group consisting of sisters from Dublin who achieved significant success in the late 1970s and early 1980s. Their biggest hit, 'I'm in the Mood for Dancing,' became a worldwide success, particularly in Japan where they achieved extraordinary popularity. Other hits included 'Gotta Pull Myself Together' and 'Attention to Me.' The sisters' harmonies and choreographed performances made them television favorites. The Nolans represented the family group tradition adapted for the disco and early 1980s pop era. Their continued reunion performances demonstrated their enduring appeal, particularly to audiences who remembered their original success.
