Albums like 'The Thoughts of Emerlist Davjack' and 'Five Bridges' demonstrated their ambitious approach. The Nice disbanded in 1970 when Emerson formed Emerson, Lake & Palmer, but their influence on progressive rock's development was substantial. They represented the first flowering of classical-rock fusion.
