Artist: Nektar
Genre: Progressive Rock
Nektar are an English-German progressive rock band formed in Hamburg in 1969 by British musicians living in Germany. Their conceptual albums and extended instrumental passages made them favorites among progressive rock fans, particularly in the United States where they achieved greater success than in Europe. Albums like 'A Tab in the Ocean,' 'Remember the Future,' and 'Recycled' showcased their ambitious approach combining space rock with progressive complexity. Nektar's light shows and theatrical performances enhanced their live reputation. Though never achieving mainstream success, they maintained a devoted cult following across decades. Nektar represented progressive rock's more experimental, space-influenced wing.
