Mike Batt is a British songwriter, composer, and producer best known for creating The Wombles and their successful series of singles in the 1970s. Beyond The Wombles, Batt wrote 'Bright Eyes' for Art Garfunkel (a UK number one) and produced albums for various artists. His work with Katie Melua as songwriter and producer achieved significant commercial success. Batt's ability to craft memorable melodies suited both children's entertainment and sophisticated pop.
